Just like driving a car, knowing how to check in at the airport, using a credit card or sending an email,
designing and publishing a simple website is fast becoming one of the things that if not today, then
tomorrow, we’ll need to be able to do.
You might not think so, but the Internet is going to be THE way of communicating in the next decade,

I was 35 years old when I published my first web page. It was a personal one that family and friends

Nothing seemed to fit the bill. Everything I bought was either written by ‘techies’ who used long words

just adverts for expensive software that I was told I needed to build even the simplest of websites.

It takes you through the whole process – from domain name registering to getting people to view (or to

Don’t worry if terms like 'domain name registering' seem frightening, you’ll soon be completely at home
with them thanks to the simple explanations in the book. (Domain name registering simply means
picking a www name that you like, for example www.bobspage.com ).
Other termsd like SEO (Serach Engione Optimisation) are even more scary.
But all it means is how to get people to visit your site by getting it listed on search engines such as
Google and Yahoo.
Trust me, I have the attention span of a small insect for fancy words and scientific-sounding terms but I’
m was taken by the hand and guided through the whole process by this wonderful book.
